I spend a lot of time at the Met, so much so that it feels like a second home. Theres’s a surrealism about the steps of the museum that always draws me in. Tourists file in and out all day and night looking overwhelmed as they trip over themselves looking up at the buildings around them. The bustle of the crowd set against the majestic facade of the museum and the buildings facing it is an interesting juxtaposition. And of course, there’s an iconic energy about the steps and the entrance to the museum, an energy that shifts with every passing minute. It’s one of my favorite places to experiment with imagery.
I’ve just received artist’s proofs for this image, and there are currently two available. They will be signed. If you are interested, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
